Prisca James

April 2019- Prisca came to Neema on the 23rd of April. Her mother sadly passed away from an unknow disease, the family claims it had something to do with witch craft. Prisca was born January 30, 2019. Her aunt was taking care of her, but says she cannot do it anymore. Social welfare also says the living conditions were not acceptable for an infant. She is healthy, 4.12 kg (9 lbs.), happy, and very “talkative’ for being so young. She is adjusting very well. We pray she can be reunited with family when possible.

Orphans are easier to ignore before you know their names. They are easier to ignore before you see their faces. It is easier to pretend they’re not real before you hold them in your arms. But once you do, everything changes.
