Maxine Fortson

This very tiny baby, weighing 3.5 pounds, was abandoned at the hospital Thursday October 10, 2013. The hospital then called Neema to come pick her up. She is so tiny she drinks from a dropper, has a full time nanny to care for her 24/7 and is sleeping on a hot water bottle. She was named by Bekah for the Doctor’s wife who delivered Bekah at a mission hospital in Africa years ago, Maxine Huddleston. Her name is bigger than the baby!!

Orphans are easier to ignore before you know their names. They are easier to ignore before you see their faces. It is easier to pretend they’re not real before you hold them in your arms. But once you do, everything changes.
