Faith Abeid

Updated March 2017—Faith’s uncle came to pick her up today. Faith was having a hard time here at Neema and it was clear she missed her family and was well loved at home. Her uncle has decided it is in her best interest to take her home. Faith joined our Neema family early March 2017. Faith is about 20 months old. Her mother struggles with substance abuse and has repeatedly left Faith alone when under the influence. Faith has an uncle who loves her and has agreed to take care of her. However the current drought has made it difficult for him to provide for his family. He is working on starting a new business. In the mean time, Faith will be with us here at Neema. She’s a sweet little girl, with a cheeky smile. She is not yet walking on her own, but can walk with hand held assistance. Would you consider sponsoring Neema?

Orphans are easier to ignore before you know their names. They are easier to ignore before you see their faces. It is easier to pretend they’re not real before you hold them in your arms. But once you do, everything changes.
